So Beatlegras = Dallas band who performs the musical stylings of the Beatles with a Bluegrass twist. Bluegrass Country has always been a guilty pleasure of mine because of my affection for the Mandolin (which can be traced back to Seals and Crofts from the 1970's as well as Nickel Creek). Nevertheless, these local boys are extremely creative and have fantastic harmonies. I suggest you guys who get a chance to see them live do so.

George Strait - Run

So we are venturing into a new world here in my blog. I have lived in Texas for 24 years of my life and I am finally being introduced to Texas Country. The most decorated artist of this genre is a guy named George Straight (Nicknamed "The King of Country"). This song is from the album titled The Road Less Traveled.

I must admit at first I was a skeptic, but upon listening to some of this music I became aware of its depth and I have a newfound respect. Cheers to you Mr. Strait and I look forward to listening to more of your tunes.

Sidney Samson - Fill You Up

So Sidney Samson is an up and coming Dutch DJ (why am I not surprised), who has been around for a couple of years now. He works with the Ministry of Sound (not a huge fan of their's but a lot of people are and they often have good tunes). I had not heard of him until I heard the song "Fill You Up". His music is more for the club, but this song just grabs you and I am officially a fan of this guy! Enjoy

Inna - Amazing

Inna is a Romanian Techno Singer. Sadly I don't know much more about her than that except for that she's on Ultra Records (with the company of Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schultz and the like), she's beautiful, has a cool voice, and has a knack for making very uplifting and catchy tunes. I hope you guys like it!

Timbaland feat. SoShy & Nelly Furtado- Morning After Dark

I stumbled upon "Morning After Dark" when while listening to 91.7 KXT, Public Music Radio for Dallas/Fort Worth area. The song was written by hip hop producer and rapper, Timbaland, and is on his third studio album, Timbaland Presents Shock Value II.

The song features French singer SoShy and was released as the first single from the album. The international version of the song features an additional rap verse from Canadian singer Nelly Furtado and it is this version which features on the album.

Armin Van Buuren - Sound of Goodbye (EDX's Indian Summer Remix)

So I have been very Techno-heavy in the song selections for the past few months, and the only response I can give is that it is what I am listening to right now. Armin Van Buuren might go as the best DJ of the past year (and one of the best to do this period), as a result many of his songs get pinched and remixed by other aspiring DJ's. Sound of Goodbye is a song that stands on its own, however the EDX Indian Summer Remix (who it is by I don't know) is excellent and I highly recommend people check out both this song and all of the other music in Armin Van Buuren's catalog.

Racoon - Close Your Eyes

Racoon is a dutch band who I got introduced to about 5 years ago, and I immediately connected with them. I lost touch with them because as expected, Dutch Rock & Roll is not something that is too prevalent in the United States, however thanks to a movie "Kicks" which came out in 2007, I was reintroduced to them with this single, and I thought the song was excellent.

Racoon is able to project their emotions without being whiney, and they are able to "rock out" without losing their direction. It's rare to find that combination and I hope that more people will check these guys out because they are quality.

I was first exposed to Andy Moor on Armin Van Buuren's compilation, A State of Trance 2009. This year Armin put out his 2010 installment of this compilation and in my opinion it fell short of his prior work, nevertheless I was able to find this gem on that CD and to say that I was enTRANCEd would be an understatement. I have gotten into Trance and electronic music in general. There is a lot to be said for the good vibes that you can get from listening to it. Above & Beyond are a British-Trance Trio who put out great tunes, and also discover new artists like "Oceanlab" who are also British and are more vocalists as opposed to DJ's. The song is called "If I Could Fly" and if it doesn't make you feel good, then you are just dead inside.

Again 91.7 KXT has to get credit for this find as well. I have always recognized Peter Frampton as the guy who made the "Talkbox" famous, but my mistake was not giving him credit for being a terrific guitar player as well. The song "I Want You Back" (off of the album Thank You Mr. Churchill) has one of the most catchy guitar riffs I've heard in a long time, I definitely give this song the stamp of approval and I hope you guys like it.

MusicPulse is back! Sorry about the hiatus, I was going through my first year of Law School and it took me away from all other activities, but now that I am on summer vacation, I have a little bit of time off and can resume learning about new music.

So the group Sonos is a 6 person acapella group who are from Los Angeles. This song is a pseudo-cover of the Jackson 5's hit song "I Want You Back". This version has a little somber tone, nevertheless the harmonies are awesome and I hope you guys like it.

I have become a huge Electrophile (fan of Electronic Music) in recent weeks, especially after Oasis separated for what appears to be the last time. This exploration of musical taste led me to several artists who I have grown upon me, one of which is Armand Van Helden. This Boston native's reputation as one of the most decorated club DJ's in the world is well earned. His song "I Want Your Soul" samples vocals "Do You Want It Right Now" by Siedah Garrett and Basslines and Beats from "Everything Counts" by Depeche Mode. The track naturally took on a very 1980's sound based on the samples and general synthesized sound that Van Helden tinkers with in his music.

Semisonic- Secret Smile

As a child of the 90's a majority of my musical interests still rest in that era. In my opinion, the genre of "Nerd Rock" was influenced greatly by the band Semisonic. These boys have often been cast away as a One Hit Wonder because of the success of their song "Closing Time", however they were so much more than that.

The song that I chosen to discuss today I consider to be one of the most tragic love songs of the decade. The video for the song Secret Smile "features Dan Wilson (lead singer and head nerd of the group) and a Japanese actress playing with a video camera. The paparazzi then arrive and the couple make a run for it" (Per Wikipedia).

It's one of my favorite songs and I hope you guys check it out.

I recently was introduced to David Guetta's weekly Podcast on ITunes (FMIF Radio). I have been recently binging on Electronic music in anticipation of DJ Tiesto's concert October 24th at the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, Texas.

The song I am sharing with you all today exceeds even my limits for Techno music however when I heard it, I could not put it down. German electronic music tends to be more edgy than most, however Jean Elan took that roughness and gave it a clean rhythm and rhyme and created something pretty special here.

Foo Fighters- Let It Die

I have admired Dave Grohl and consider him one of my favorite musicians not only for his ability to write songs and perform (multiple instruments mind you), but also his genuine love and appreciation for Rock & Roll. After departing from Nirvana and forming the Foo Fighters, there was much controversy however now that all of those differences have been settled, we see that Dave Grohl has matured as an artist, but at the same time he never sacrificed his energy and enthusiasm for his craft. The song "Let It Die" off of their album "Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace" I feel well illustrates my point. He incorporates acoustic guitar, muted drums, and lyrics that tell a love story, however when it comes time for him to turn on his amplifier and rock out, he does so with the same gusto that he did when he first formed the band over 12 years ago. I hope you guys dig the song.

Cary Brothers- Ride (Tiësto Remix)

"In Search of Sunrise 7 - Asia" may go down Tiësto's best work of his career, and for someone who is considered already to be the greatest living DJ, that is quite an accomplishment. He really has explored the boundaries of electronic music and taken it to new heights. The song of note to me is his remix of "Ride by the Cary Brothers" (Disk 1 Track 9 for those of you who have it or would like to listen to it). This feel good tune can put even the biggest debbie downer in a good mood. There is truly a touch of God in Tiësto's work and he has never failed to impress. I hope you guys check out this compilation and appreciate it as much as I do.

Oasis- Talk Tonight

Anyone who knows me knows that at some point in my college career I was introduced to the music of Oasis, and since then they have been a profound influence in my musical tastes and my life in general. This weekend marks the end of an 18 year journey (1991-2009) for Liam and Noel Gallagher as they have officially parted ways for what people believe is the last time. In this post you will find several words in bold within which I have attached songs that I think fit sentence's theme. I also suggest everyone read this article because I believe it shares many of the same sentiments that I do, and I'm sure most Oasis fan's will agree.

I vividly remember the Fall semester of 2006 when I rode from Austin back to Southlake with my good friend Brian and I asked him to play only Oasis tunes on that 3 hour journey so that I can finally understand what the "hype was about". The first song he played was "Slide Away" and after the first 22 seconds I was hooked. In my opinion it is one of the best love songs of the decade, and the opening guitar hook is about as romantic and emotional as I have ever heard in Rock & Roll. They also produced another fantastic love song called "Don't Go Away" which sounds eerily similar...but who cares!

My interest in the band further progressed as I read about them (if I may suggest the book "Getting High") the more I realized that the dichotomy of Liam's "Rock N Roll Star" to Noel's "Singer/Songwriter" lead to the success of the band. It provided mass appeal to all who crossed its path.

As is customary with my blog, I have to post a song that I feel exemplifies the band, but with Oasis I am unable to do that accurately because I love all their stuff, but I will however post the song "Talk Tonight" because it is considered one of the most personal songs that they have written. Their honesty was their best quality, and I am going to miss that the most.

In closing all I can say is that I hope you all check them out and appreciate them for what they were...themselves!

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club- Ain't No Easy Way

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club might be the most unique band that I have come across in a long time. These Bay Area boys call themselves Alternative/Garage Band Rock, but they in reality are so much more. They carry a lot of influence from the Americana and Folk Genre's in their songs, which makes them all the more enjoyable as well as versatile. The most poignant example of this is their song "Ain't No Easy Way" which also ironically is the most recognizable song on their third studio album "Howl". I hope that you all will enjoy them as much as I have.

Kasabian- Underdog

As a huge Oasis fan, it would be expected that I am a huge supporter of any band that they endorse, however that has not been the case. I have been very reticent to give my full backing to Kasabian because I felt that they were too "electro-rock" for my taste, however with the release of their 2nd studio album "West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum" I have to say that I have changed my mind. Fronted by the track "Underdog", this album has the potential to become a chart topper in the UK as well as abroad.

Local H- Bounce For The Floor

This 90's Grunge Classic was written by what has been called "Rock's Greatest Unkown Two-Man Band". Local H came into notoriety with their 1996 album "As Good As Dead" which had the hit single "Bounce For The Floor". What really stuck out to me in this song was the rawness of the music and lyrics, as was a sign of the times in the 1990's. These artists knew that they were speaking for a generation and they took this role seriously. True Rock & Roll enthusiasts can appreciate how evident they voiced their frustrations, and how well they are able to convey their points through music.

Adam Tensta- My Cool

Sometimes, we find songs in the least expected of places, and in this particular case I stumbled upon this gem while searching on YouTube for soccer player compilations! The song that caught my ear on a highlight video for the French/Algerian youngster Samir Nasri #22.

The song is called "My Cool" by Swedish Hip Hop/MC Adam Tensta. This half Gambian/Swedish-Finish used this song propel himself into the music scene of Scandinavia and in 2007 his debut album, "It's A Tensta Thing", won a Grammis (equivalent of Grammy in the U.S.) and two Swedish Deejay Awards.

A fun fact per Wikipedia:

Adam Tensta has never smoked, drank alcohol or done drugs. He strives to be a good role model and is a representative of “A Non Smoking Generation” and an ambassador for the Swedish chapter of “Save the Children,” a child advocacy group that looks after the value and safety of all children in the world.

A talented artists, and an all-around good dude...I approve and I hope that yall do too.

Deadmau5 & Kascade- I Remember (Vocal Edit)

Just got back from South Padre Island and I'm feeling good! So I thought I'd share with you guys the calming music known as "Ambient House". I have always been a fan of electronic music in general, but recently my interest in it has been revived thanks to the music of Canadian DJ, Deadmau5. His collaboration with American DJ, Kascade, and the vocals of Haley Gibby put together this piece of brilliant known as "I Remember". The song itself is very peaceful and although the song is 9 Minutes long, it will go by in the blink of an eye because you will find yourself getting lost in the music and lyrics.

And That's The Way It Is. (R.I.P. Walter Cronkite).

Local Band Shoutout: Slider Pines

This relatively unknown Dallas trio was introduced to me while I was listening to a Saturday morning radio show on Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket called The Orphanage. They really talk very little about sports on that show, and on this particular day they were discussing the local music scene (or lack thereof) in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

However one of the bands which stuck out to me was a group called Slider Pines. Their sound resembles the Foo Fighters with a little bit of that Southern Rock twist and I loved their genuine energy because you could feel it in the recordings of the songs. My personal favorite tunes are "Ghoul Party" of their 2008 EP Album and "The Art of Falling Down" of of their 2007 album titled "Road, Avenue, Railroad".

Unfortunately because the band is not well known and do not play in a market that is particularly supportive of local artists, it's difficult to find Youtube videos (that are good quality) or anything really besides their own websites. At any rate the two links below should help you get a taste of their sound.

Miike Snow- Sylvia

This post will actually be the first time that a song suggested to me will be put forth for your listening pleasure. Credit to"Blame Se7en"for introducing me to the up and coming Swedish band Miike Snow. Formed in 2007, the band decided to name themselves after controversial Japanese Director, Takashi Miike, who is known for his extremely violent and sexually explicit movies and manga's (japanese comic books). Upon hearing this trio for the first time, I was impressed by their unique musicianship and use of the synthesizers to play with and alter the sounds of the instruments as well as the vocals.

Their song "Sylvia" reminds me of an uptempo version of Coldplay's Violet Hill mixed with the heavily digitalized sound of fellow Scandinavian product A-H a (just for humor's sake). The lyrics are a little bit dark, and that's always a plus in my book!

Michael Jackson- P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) [Demo Version]

In wake of the sudden and tragic death of Michael Jackson, I have decided to dedicate this post to him. I grew up listening to the music of the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson, now obviously I did not grow up in the 1970's but my family who did constantly played his music. I distinctly remember my Uncle, who studied piano in college, playing Thriller from start to finish on his synthesizer. We also used to watch "Michael Jackson- Video Greatest Hits - HIStory" on VHS pretty much every time the family would get together.

The song I have chosen to post about was actually released noticeably different than it's original demo (which you will be seeing here). P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) was written by Michael Jackson and Greg Phillinganes for Jackson's Off The Wall Album. It was revamped and put to a much more upbeat tempo by James Ingram and Quincy Jones for his historic album Thriller. This demo, recorded between April and October 1982, was included on the compilation album Michael Jackson: Ultimate Collection, issued in November 2004. This version sounds a lot like what may have influenced the music of singers like Donell Jones and Justin Timberlake (later on in his career of course).

At any rate, here's to you Michael for many great songs and great times. Truly the best there ever was in this business.

Doman & Gooding- Runnin'

"Runnin" is the debut single by the Canadian-British Dance duo, Doman & Gooding, which also features Canadian R&B singer Dru and rapper Lincoln. The song samples Carrie Lucas's Disco hit from 1979 "Dance With You" as it's background beat. (for all of you impatient folks, it comes around the 2 minute mark and pretty much goes in 1 minute increments)

This song is the perfect blend of hip-hop/R&B/electronic music and I guarantee that it will appeal to anyone who is willing to give it a shot.

England Dan & John Ford Coley- I'd Really Love To See You Tonight

England Dan and John Ford Coley were a popular soft rock duo best known for their 1976 debut single (and also the song this post is about) I'd Really Love To See You Tonight. The song finished at #2 on the billboard charts and is considered a classic from the 1970's to this day.

Dan "England Dan" Seals passed on March 25, 2009 and although I did not know him at all, I feel like this is my little way of honoring his career as an artist. He was also the younger brother of Jimmy Seals, who was in the famous soft rock duo of "Seals and Crofts" (a post for another day). I was introduced to the music of both bands because all 4 of them had become Baha'is (Followers of the Baha'i Faith) back in the 1970's (although John Ford Coley although left the Faith shortly thereafter) and being that I am one as well, I was naturally drawn to their music and lyrics which consisted of love, peace and harmony.

It was just a happier time back then. I hope ya'll enjoy the song.

Live- White, Discussion

I have always had a fondness for grunge and one of the bands who got me into the genre was the band LIVE. For those of you who are not into Grunge or Alternative Music in general, you can consider LIVE as the metaphorical gateway drug into the genre, at least that's what they were for me. Their award winning album "Throwing Copper" in my opinion is one of the most complete Alternative Rock CD's one can buy. It has the very popular (as well as radio friendly) songs "I Alone", "Lightning Crashes", and "All Over You", however I consider "White, Discussion" my personal favorite even though it did not receive much acclaim.

"White, Discussion" epitomizes to me the spirit of the music of the 90's, and I think anyone who has a true appreciation for that time period will agree. The song has an undesirable energy that can only come from when an artist truly connects with his piece of music. The powerful drums and bass line are won't be soon forgotten when you hear this for the first time.

I truly hope that of all the songs that I post on here that you appreciate this one because even though LIVE has fallen off in recent years, their early music will always hold a special place in my heart (and Itunes! lol)

David Guetta (feat. Kelly Rowland)- When Love Takes Over

As the summer approaches, many of us are looking for those tunes that will put us in a "feel good mood", and for many of us who are into techno and electronic music in general, it is hard to ignore the musical styling of David Guetta. This time around he has brought along ex-Destiny Child vocalist Kelly Rowland to do lead on his song "When Love Takes Over".

The song has a piano base similar to that of the song "Clocks" by Coldplay, and he makes sure to use every octave in Rowland's impressive vocal range to push the song to it's limits and get the most feeling and emotion out of the voice.

When I first heard the song, I knew that it would be one that I would have trouble putting down, and at the same time I knew I would have to put it in the "guilty pleasure" category because the song is about as poppy and corny as it gets especially in the electronic genre. Nevertheless , I definitely think it has use in someone's Ipod especially when trying to put yourself in a positive frame of mind.

Top 4 Favorite Beatles Songs

When discussing The Beatles, it is impossible to pinpoint just one favorite song, that's why I have given myself some leeway and decided to write about my top 4 favorite Beatles songs. These songs are not going to be ranked in any particular order because it is difficult for me to pick one over the other so just bear with me:

1) The Beatles- The Night Before

2) The Beatles- Hey Bulldog

3) The Beatles- I Should Have Known Better

4) The Beatles- If I Fell

Now naturally I have many more songs that I like by The Beatles, but in my opinion, these ones are the top of the pops. Feel free to chime in with your own personal favs.

Splender- Yeah Whatever

This song has always been something of an anomaly to me because when I first heard it, I could not stop listening because of its incredibly catchy hooks and guitar licks, not to mention the phenomenal harmonies during the chorus.

With that said, only recently have I truly developed an appreciation for what the song is actually about. The lyrics are very interpretive and can basically fit into a number of situations that people encounter. My personal favorite line of the song being:

"We don't have to stay friends let's pretend to be enemies"

This speaks volumes because it discusses the issue of whether friendship is a tangible timeless connection, or rather if it is just a man-made creation for creating a thin sense of comradarie. As I am someone who over analyzes everything, I tend to lean towards the former because of the word "pretend" meaning that there is no real desire to change but rather that outside forces dictate what must be done. However at the same time one should never let forces outside of ones control tell them what to do, so it creates an interesting irony. He basically says that one can only be a friend, or an enemy in the same mold of the old saying "The enemy of my enemy is my friend", in short that there is no middle ground or neutrality in the world of friends and enemies.

At any rate, it is one of my favorite songs and it has great music and great lyrics. Check it out.

Nas (feat. Keri Hilson)- Hero

It has been a while since I posted on my AudioPulse page, but in all fairness I have been on a musical drought because of a lack of quality music permeating the airwaves and the world-wide-web. I did however find a gem in the hip-hop world from one of my favorite rappers, Nas.

The song features vocals from Keri Hilson who was a prominent songwriter for several big acts in the early 2000's.

Apparently Chamillionaire made a freestyle to the same beat (background music) and put it on a mixtape titled "Mixtape Messiah Volume 4".

Oasis- Fade Away (War Child Version)

Ah yes the moment you've all been waiting for! When was I finally going to post an Oasis song? Well the time has come my friends. I have been feeling very reflective in this time of my life, and as I just celebrated my 23rd birthday, I realized how fast my those years passed me by.

The song I have chosen for this mood comes from the 1995 Compilation Album "HELP" devoted to the War Child Charity which serves war-stricken areas like Bosnia-Herzegovina at that time.

Featured on this track are Noel Gallagher on Lead Vocals and guitar, his brother Liam Gallagher doing backup vocals (which is a very interesting role reversal of sorts). Johnny Depp also on guitar and his girl friend at-the-time Kate Moss on backup vocals at the end. What's special about this tune is that one gets to really appreciate the warmth and range of Noel's voice and upon listening will sense the change in tone and emotion from the original version which features Liam on the lead vocals and carries a much more punk rock tempo to it.

Nonetheless the lyrics are absolutely brilliant and the song feels like a story told from the point of view of a old wiseman. For anyone who ever feels down in the dumps about anything, I have you're remedy. Enjoy!

Breaking Benjamin- Blow Me Away

If you're like me, then you have a tough time being motivated to work out your hardest at the gym. As a naturally mild personality, what I've learned to help me maintain a certain level of intensity when I exercise is to listen to music.

In my opinion listening to songs like "MmmBop by Hanson" or "I believe I can fly" by R. Kelly isn't going to do the trick. The quenesstential workout song must contain a lot of power, and energy, and some screaming wouldn't hurt. In comes the band Breaking Benjamin and their song Blow Me Away which appears on the Halo 2 Soundtrack.

With such militant lyrics and furious drums and distorted guitar, one would be hard pressed to not want to deliver some pain. If you need that extra boost to get through those last couple of reps, or those last couple of minutes on a machine, this song definitely will do the trick!

Anyways I know that his particular post gears towards a very particular audience, but who knows, maybe some of you will end up liking it anyways.

Semisonic- F.N.T.

Another day, another song stuck in my head. Today I thought we should take a trip down memory lane and go all the way back to 1996 with, in my opinion, one of the most underrated bands of that entire decade, Semisonic. This 3 piece band plays what I like to call "Nerd Rock", and you can detect the similarities in their music and bands like Weezer, Travis, and Bare Naked Ladies to name a few.

This early song by Semisonic definitely had more Rock & Roll energy than their more popular tracks like "Closing Time" and "Secret Smile", however it still has enough of a catchy to make it a radio friendly song for all you billboard music folks.

I think sometimes we all need some feel good music in our lives. At any rate, hope you like the song!

Gov't Mule- Mr. High & Mighty

I am feeling particularly proud of being a Texan today, so I decided that I would let that feeling flow into the song that I'm sharing with y'all this evening. Now I know that you are all thinking to yourselves:

"what does this goofy, foreign-looking kid know about Classic Rock?"

The truth is, not very much. But in the end, isn't that what listening to different music is about? Expanding everyone (including our own) musical horizons, and who knows maybe you'll like it!

The band is Gov't Mule and the song is "Mr. High & Mighty". This band was bred out of the Allman Brothers Band and basically was a project for some members to rock out and jam for fun and leisure. If you are into bands like AC/DC and Lynard Skynard, then you will love the crunchy guitar licks and organ drones that Gov't Mule employ in this track.

Anyways, enough of the "boring stuff" here's the song. Enjoy!

Inspiral Carpets- Two Worlds Collide

Let us travel back to Manchester, England in 1992, where we will discover the Alternative Rock Band "The Inspiral Carpets", and their then roadie Noel Gallagher (yes Oasis's own Noel Gallagher). They had released a song called "Two Worlds Collide" off of their album "Revenge of The Goldfish". Although the song had moderate success finishing at #32 on the Billboard Charts in the UK, it had tremendous success in the US Modern Rock Billboard Chart finishing at #8.

I remember reading an article where Tom Hingley, frontman of the Inspiral Carpets, said that if Coldplay had written this song, then it would have been a #1 hit. Frankly I must agree with him, because in my opinion this is is one of the best songs of the 1990's and I hope that you all agree. The harmonies are exquisite and frankly, the underlying meaning of the song as well. At any rate, I'm a big fan and please enjoy the tune.

U.N.K.L.E. Featuring Ian Brown- Be There

I have always enjoyed and appreciated Electronic Music and so when U.N.K.L.E. and Ian Brown paired up to make this song it was a fusion of two of my favorite genre's. Just thought I'd share this little nugget with everyone.

Fire & Skill: Songs From The Jam

I first got introduced to Paul Weller and The Jam via my favorite Rock & Roll band, Oasis. The Gallagher Brothers are huge fans of Paul Weller and have done many collaborations with him. In 1999 there was a Rockumentary about the Jam called "That's Entertainment" where they basically showed studio footage of the recordings for some songs from the compilation album Fire & Skill.

The one that caught my ear was the cover of the song, "Carnation". On this track Paul Weller plays the keyboard, Liam Gallagher does the lead vocals, Steve Cradock (who gained his notoriety as the lead guitarist for Ocean Color Scene and a close friend of Weller's) played rhythm guitar, and lastly Noel Gallagher on the lead guitar.

The brilliance of "Carnation" lies in its lyrics. My personal favorite verse is as follows:

"If you're wondering by now who I am, look no further than the mirror

Cause I am the greed and fear, and every ounce of hate in you"

I feel that Weller basically says before you want to judge others, take a look inside yourself because then you will realize your own faults and thus not be critical of others.
